Admission to the courses of the Open Academy of Medicine entails acceptance of and compliance with the behavioural code of conduct set forth below, whose primary purpose is to safeguard the proper conduct of the educational activities of the Open Academy of Medicine and to protect the interests of all enrolled participants and teaching staff.
Enrollment in the Open Academy of Medicine allows participants, for the entire duration of the selected courses, to activate a personal account on the Open Academy of Medicine website. The data relating to such account, in particular the access credentials to the personal area and all content published therein, must be considered strictly personal and may not be transferred to third parties. In the event of inappropriate use of the website and associated resources, the Open Academy of Medicine may proceed with the unconditional suspension of the account used improperly, without prior notice.
All material made available to enrolled participants, as well as material published on the Open Academy of Medicine website, is intended – unless expressly and exceptionally authorized in writing – for personal use for educational purposes only. Any form of use of such material beyond the intended purpose is therefore subject to the prior written approval of the Open Academy of Medicine and the authors. In particular, any exploitation of content and teaching materials for commercial or profit-making purposes is strictly prohibited, as is their use for dissemination or educational activities outside the Open Academy of Medicine.
Enrolled participants are granted authorization, exclusively for personal educational purposes, to make audio recordings (voice recordings) of lessons using portable, non-professional devices. Unless otherwise expressly indicated or exceptions are granted under this code of conduct, audiovisual recordings of lessons are not permitted. Likewise, photographic recordings inside the classrooms where lessons take place are not allowed.
In order to make the content accessible to participants, lessons will be subject to audiovisual recording carried out by authorized personnel. All participants are therefore required to comply with the rule providing that time reserved for discussion with lecturers is scheduled at the conclusion of the lessons, avoiding interruptions of presentations as much as possible.
Any failure to comply with the code of conduct set forth herein will be assessed by the management of the Open Academy of Medicine and may result, depending on the seriousness of the violation, in measures taken to protect the institution, including the immediate revocation of admission to the courses.
